GE Power India has secured two orders worth Rs 774.9 crore from Jaiprakash Power Ventures. The two orders are for D&E and supply of wet limestone-based FGDs for the Nigrie Super Thermal Power Plant at Nigrie, Singrauli, and Bina Thermal Power Plant at Bina in Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh.

The orders are worth Rs 490.5 crore for the Nigrie plant and Rs 284.4 crore for the Bina plant. The pit-head based plant in Nigrie has a 1,320 MW super critical technology boiler, and is characterised by improved thermal efficiency, lower emissions levels, and reduced fuel consumption.

The execution period is 33 months for the Nigrie plant, and 30 months for the Bina plant.

Also, this week GE Power India has received purchase orders from NTPC and Hindustan Zinc worth Rs 24 crore and Rs 8.75 crore respectively. The order entails supply of generator spares at NTPC Tanda and supply of turbine blades for NTPC Nabinagar. The order from Hindustan Zinc is for D&E, supply and E&C of boiler firing system at Hindustan Zinc, Chanderiya in Rajasthan.

GE Power India is engaged in the engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and servicing of power plants and power equipment. Its business divisions include boilers, mills, air quality control systems, and automation & control.
